Legal Secretary – Vacancy for Private Practice Team
Our client has a vacancy for a Legal Secretary to join their team.
Work arrangement: Full or part-time positions will be considered.

Role Overview
The position requires the following core duties:
- Word processing: Create accurate documents with speed and professionalism per fee-earner specifications.
- Customer service & enquiries: Answer incoming telephone calls efficiently, following firm protocols and resolving basic client queries.
- Diary & contact management: Manage the fee-earner’s calendar, including an up-to-date reminder system and daily task prioritisation.
- Case tracking: Maintain a clear, current summary of active cases to assist with client and firm queries.
- Filing & record systems: Ensure organised maintenance of all documents, emails, and messages for streamlined access.
- Document handling: Handle routine task like copying, collating, and binding paperwork as required.
- Client communication: Take supervised telephone calls on behalf of clients/potential clients under fee-earner direction.

Key Requirements
Experience and skills sought include:
- Minimum 2 years’ legal secretarial experience within a private practice environment.
- Excellent typing proficiency (condensed speed preferred).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Word.
- Exceptional organisational capabilities to manage workloads and deadlines.
- Professional telephone manner, with a client-focused approach.
- Experience in client relations, including navigating their concerns and expectations.
- Experience of IT-dependent legal workflows, particularly case management software.
