Legal Specialist
Legal JD Expert – AI Legal Reasoning Challenges
AfterQuery is seeking Legal JD Experts to create and refine legal reasoning challenges for our AI training modules.
In this remote, flexible role, you will design and evaluate legal scenarios that test the AI’s ability to interpret and apply complex legal principles, ensuring our models can navigate real-world legal issues with precision and nuance.

Responsibilities
- Develop high-quality legal questions and case studies, challenging AI models across areas such as:
- Contract law
- Constitutional law
- Intellectual property
- Other complex legal domains
- Evaluate and validate model responses, providing detailed feedback to ensure:
- Logical consistency
- Adherence to legal principles
- Collaborate with a team of legal and technical experts to:
- Fine-tune question difficulty
- Ensure content remains challenging yet educational
Required Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Proven experience in:
- Legal practice
- Legal research
- Academia, with a robust understanding of diverse legal disciplines.
- Exceptional analytical, written, and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.

Preferred Qualifications
- Multiple years of legal practice or substantial legal research experience, ideally in diverse fields of law.
- Prior involvement in:
- Legal publications
- Policy work
- Legal tech initiatives.
- Familiarity with:
- AI or technology-driven legal applications (a plus).
