Job Opening: Legal Support Administrator

About the Role

As a Legal Support Administrator, you’ll be the backbone of our Support Services team in Birmingham. If you enjoy practical administration within a successful, people-focused organisation—working closely with fee earners and Partners—this role is for you.

This is an energetic, high-stakes position. You’ll be quick on your feet, precise, and adept at building relationships, balancing multiple tasks while ensuring seamless support to our senior colleagues.


Responsibilities

Your role will encompass a wide range of crucial tasks, including:

Core Duties:

  • Handling email and MS Teams queries for fee earners
  • Keeping case files, databases, and systems organised and current
  • Managing case file openings/closures across main platforms
    • Processing payments for invoices, BACs, cheques, and billing
  • Supporting paper and e-bundle preparation
  • Compiling digital files in line with audit protocols
  • Managing departmental data storage platforms
  • Booking fee earner travel and coordinating meetings, while handling expenses
  • Overseeing inbound post, printing, scanning
  • Coaching Radiology requests through digitally fragmented systems
  • Swiftly resolving urgent requests within SLA-required timescales

Crucial Skills:

✔ Admin experience in fast-paced, regulated, or professional roles ✔ Ability to juggle priorities and deadlines amidst a varied workload ✔ Fine attention to detail with strong record-keeping ability ✔ Clear written and oral communication for internal/external audiences ✔ Proficient in Microsoft Office, quick to onboard new tools ✔ Independent worker who also collaborates effectively


Desirable Qualifications & Experience

A bonus will be demonstrated capability in:

  • Legal or healthcare support roles
  • Experience using: case management, document workflows, compliance databases
  • Managing transactions (invoices, payments, expenses)
  • File audits, recordracy, or admin document assembly
  • Administrative logistics: meetings, diaries, travel coordination
  • Awareness of strict data protection protocols
