Legionella Risk Assessor – Midlands (Mobile Role)

Key Details

  • Location: Midlands (mobile)
  • Hours: Monday – Friday (40 hours per week)
  • Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Principal Responsibilities

The Legionella Risk Assessor will be responsible for:

  • Conducting site surveys to produce comprehensive Legionella Risk Assessments, adhering to:
    • ACoP L8
    • HSG 274
    • HTM:04-01
    • Water Regulations
    • BS 8580
  • Generating in-depth reports, including:
    • Detailed recommendations for remedial action
    • Site-specific control schemes
    • Management plans
    • Schematic drawings
  • Providing technical consultancy and advice to clients
  • Supporting Water Hygiene-related monitoring and maintenance tasks as needed, utilising electronic survey software
  • Working across multiple standalone and multi-site contracts, requiring:
    • Regional and national field travel (Midlands and UK-wide)
    • Use of tablet-based electronic survey tools for inspections

About You

Essential Requirements

To succeed in this role, you must meet the following non-negotiable criteria:

✅ 2+ years of relevant experience in Legionella Risk Assessment roles (or similar water safety/technical environments) ✅ Full City & Guilds/BOHS P901 (or equivalent third-party accredited Legionella Control training) ✅ Proven experience in:

  • Maintenance, servicing, and testing Water Hygiene systems
  • Compliance with HSC ACoP L8, HSG 274, and Water Regulations ✅ Current full UK driving licence ✅ Proficiency in IT applications, particularly tablet-based survey tools

Desirable Traits

While not mandatory, these will strengthen your application:

🔹 Ability to work autonomously across multiple sites, adhering to strict quality control standards and operational procedures 🔹 Mechanical engineering or plumbing experience, including practical knowledge of maintenance and repairs
