Description

Be the Energy Behind the Experience

At the Glasgow Marriott Hotel, our newly refurbished Leisure Club isn’t just a place to work out – it’s a sanctuary for wellness, a hub of activity, and a vital part of the guest experience.

As our Leisure Club Associate, you’ll be the welcoming face of the club – manning the reception desk, greeting guests with a smile, and building genuine relationships with our members and hotel guests. From keeping our facilities clean and safe, to offering support with equipment or answering questions, you’ll play a hands-on role in making every visit feel smooth, energising, and memorable. It’s about more than maintaining high standards – it’s about creating a space where people feel cared for, comfortable, and motivated to return.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Create a warm, welcoming environment for all Leisure Club members and hotel guests
  • Keep all leisure facilities clean, tidy, and in top condition – from the gym floor to the sauna
  • Take ownership of daily Health & Safety checks, including equipment inspections and pool testing, to maintain a safe and compliant environment
  • Provide support to guests using the gym, pool, and wellness areas – offering guidance and assistance where needed
  • Monitor member and guest activity to ensure safe and respectful use of facilities
  • Carry out opening, closing, and cashing-up procedures with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Monitor the pool and act as lifeguard during designated times, ensuring safety procedures are followed
  • Provide gym inductions and offer guidance on correct equipment use to promote guest confidence and safety
  • Be alert to guest needs – offering assistance, answering questions, and creating a welcoming environment
  • Follow emergency operating procedures and assist with first aid if required
  • Liaise with the Leisure Manager on any day-to-day issues and support team communication
  • Carry out opening/closing and cashing-up procedures accurately and efficiently

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
