The Role Outline: Your Focus at a Glance

Running a high volume leisure club is about much more than keeping the gym floor tidy. You will take overall responsibility for all leisure activities, ensuring the smooth running of the club operations in terms of both sales and membership retention. This role is all about driving quality and value that ensures amazing hospitality, leading by example, and challenging your team to deliver and celebrate results. You will deliver the group strategy in order to deliver serious commercial returns.

Your Working Week: What You Will Actually Be Doing

As Our Leisure Club Manager, You Are The Absolute Leader Of The Club, Reporting Directly To The General Manager. We Trust You To Handle

  • Commercial Hustle: You will drive on site sales by ensuring up selling is happening in the department and ensure the sales plan is delivering revenue as per budget. You will control costs proactively to deliver profit conversion and submit accurate and robust forecasts.
  • Inspirational Leadership: You will create, drive and achieve engagement in the team so employees are motivated to deliver amazing hospitality. We want to see a culture where the majority of managers are internally promoted.
  • Brand Excellence: You will be a hands on leader who constantly champions brand standards, influencing the team to deliver amazing hospitality whilst driving results. You will create an intensity around excellence and service that drives performance of the department.
  • Governance & Safety: You will comply with accounting processes as per the internal audit. You will take reasonable steps to identify and where possible rectify risk and comply with all health and safety legislation. You will also ensure appropriate stock control processes are in place.

How We Measure Success

We do not micromanage, but we do expect results. You will be measured on your ability to:

  • Achieve budgeted Revenue and budgeted EBITDA.
  • Achieve targeted guest rate/revinate score.
  • Achieve targeted CMI audit score and internal audit score.
