Lending Operations Assistant Manager
A Private Banking institution is seeking a Lending Operations Assistant Manager to support the Lending & Securities Manager in leading a high-performing operational team responsible for managing, safeguarding, and simplifying lending and security activities throughout the lending lifecycle.
Overview
- Support the Lending & Securities Manager in leading and motivating the team
- Oversee daily workflow, resource allocation, and service delivery standards.
- Support workforce planning and resource management to ensure service levels are maintained.
- Provide coaching, feedback, and technical guidance to colleagues, escalating issues where appropriate.
- Support performance management activities, including objective setting, capability development, and performance improvement.
- Ensure efficient and accurate end-to-end processing of lending and security activities in accordance with regulatory, legal, and internal requirements.
- Oversee workflow management, ensuring priorities are managed appropriately and activities are delivered within agreed service standards.
- Monitor service levels, workflow volumes, quality measures, and operational performance indicators, using data and insight to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Maintain and enhance Standard Operating Procedures, Training & Competency documentation, and Risk Control Self Assessments (RCSA).
- Subject Matter Expert (SME) in regulations surrounding regulated and unregulated lending and security.
- Ensure compliance with FCA/PRA Conduct Rules, Consumer Duty requirements, internal policies, and data security standards.
- Monitor control effectiveness, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities to strengthen the First Line control environment.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives that simplify processes, improve customer outcomes, and enhance operational efficiency.
- Support the delivery and embedding of change initiatives impacting Lending Operations.

- Strong understanding of regulated and unregulated lending and security processes, including documentation, security perfection, and associated risk considerations.
- Experience within a lending and securities financial services environment.
- Experience leading, supervising, or developing colleagues within an operational environment.
- Ability to manage workflow, competing priorities, and service delivery within a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to interpret lending documentation and security arrangements.
