Lettings Manager – Canary Wharf, London

Role Overview

Allie Home Estate & Lettings Agency is seeking an experienced, proactive, and commercially minded Lettings Manager to lead and grow their residential lettings department.

Based in Canary Wharf, Allie Home is a boutique estate and lettings agency specialising in luxury London properties. Their ethos revolves around delivering a highly personal, multilingual, and professional service, placing emphasis on trust, long-term relationships, and unwavering market expertise.

This is a core role within the business, responsible for:

  • Driving new landlord instructions
  • Managing the lettings pipeline
  • Overseeing the entire lettings process from valuation to tenancy commencement and property management
  • Ensuring high standards of service for both landlords and tenants

The ideal candidate may have a background as:

  • An experienced Lettings Manager
  • A strong Senior Lettings Negotiator
  • An experienced Property Manager

Location: Canary Wharf, London Job Type: Full-time Work Arrangement: Office-based (with regular property visits and client meetings across London) Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 base + discretionary performance-based bonus Start Date: ASAP


Role Expectations

You will take full ownership of lettings performance, encompassing:

  • Valuations, instructions, and marketing
  • Viewings, offers, and negotiations
  • Compliance and landlord relationship management
  • Process development, conversion rate improvement, and brand growth

A strong grasp of lettings legislation and compliance is essential, given the evolving rental market and new rental reforms. As a trusted advisor, you must confidently:

  • Explain the lettings process
  • Guide landlords through compliance requirements
  • Help stakeholders make informed decisions

Key Responsibilities

  • Acquire new landlord instructions and expand Allie Home’s lettings portfolio
  • Conduct lettings valuations and deliver market-focused advisory
  • Coordinate enquiries, viewings, offers, and negotiations
  • Oversee the full lettings process (from valuation to tenancy signing to property management)
  • Ensure compliance with current legislation and internal standards
  • Optimise systems, processes, and service standards across the lettings team

Key Success Metrics

Your performance will be measured against: ✔ Consistent growth in new landlord instructions ✔ Expansion of the lettings portfolio (both size and revenue) ✔ Efficient letting timelines (short market periods, compliant lettings, high-quality tenants) ✔ Reduced void periods and maximised rentals ✔ Responsive and professional communication for both tenants and landlords ✔ Silenced inefficiencies, improving departmental structure, efficiency, and commercial performance ✔ Becoming an indispensable landlord/tenant contact person within the business and market

Ideal Candidate

This role would suit someone who:

  • Has 2+ years’ experience in residential lettings or property management in London (or equivalent)
  • Winning track record in acquiring landlord instructions and strategically growing relationships
  • Commercially astute, with an interest in building and managing a strong portfolio
  • Fully versed in lettings compliance and up-to-date legislation
  • Demonstrates exemplary communication skills (in-person, phone, and written correspondence)
  • Is highly organised, detail-oriented, and adept at multi-tasking
  • Takes a proactive, solutions-based approach to work
  • Experience would be an asset with:
    • Overseas landlords
    • International students
    • Corporate tenants or relocation clients
  • ARLA Propertymark qualification (highly desirable)
  • Additional native-like skills in Mandarin or Cantonese (an advantage)

Working Arrangement

  • Core hours: Monday to Friday
  • Additional flexibility: May require occasional outside hours viewings/appointments, compensated via time off in lieu
