Our well established and growing client based in St Albans are looking for a Lettings Manager.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll combine team management with business development, using your local market expertise to win new instructions, grow a managed portfolio and strengthen the reputation as the area’s trusted property experts.
You’ll play a key role in developing long-term landlord relationships, identifying new business opportunities and ensuring your team consistently delivers outstanding results.

- Salary: up to £40k depending on experience, OTE £55k+
- Hours: Mon-Fri 9am-5.30pm, office based

Key Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate and develop the lettings team to achieve ambitious business targets
- Grow the managed and let-only portfolio by generating new landlord opportunities
- Attend market appraisals, provide expert advice and convert valuations into new instructions
- Build lasting relationships with landlords, investors and local businesses to generate repeat business and referrals
- Develop proactive prospecting strategies including networking, database management, canvassing and marketing initiatives
- Monitor team performance through KPIs, coaching colleagues to maximise individual and departmental success
- Work closely with Directors to achieve revenue, profitability and portfolio growth targets
- Ensure the department delivers exceptional customer service to landlords, tenants and applicants
- Stay up to date with lettings legislation and ensure full compliance across the department
- Collaborate with the Sales and Commercial teams to maximise cross-referral opportunities and support wider business growth
- Champion the brand within the local community and across all marketing channels

What The Employer Is Looking For
- Previous experience in a senior lettings or lettings management role
- A proven track record of winning new business and growing a lettings portfolio
- Strong valuation, negotiation and closing skills
- Excellent leadership and coaching abilities, with experience developing successful teams
- Outstanding communication and relationship-building skills
- A customer-first approach with a passion for delivering exceptional service
- Strong commercial awareness and the ability to work towards financial and performance targets
- A good understanding of current lettings legislation and industry best practice
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- A full UK driving licence and use of your own vehicle
