LEV Engineer – Stafford
About the Role
HVDS is a specialist provider of air quality and clean air solutions, supporting over 100 leading food manufacturers across the UK and Ireland. The company delivers comprehensive services including air filtration, dust extraction, ventilation, and contamination control to help customers improve food safety.
HVDS focuses on audit compliance through solutions such as air handling unit installation, duct cleaning, filter replacement, and workplace air monitoring. Team members work closely with food production environments to maintain optimal air quality and provide tailored, reliable support as a trusted clean air partner.
We are recruiting for a full-time LEV Engineer based in Stafford, working within our food manufacturing clean air division.

Responsibilities
The LEV Engineer will be responsible for:
- Conducting and documenting LEV examinations and testing in food manufacturing environments for compliance with standards and regulations
- Inspecting and assessing LEV systems in line with regulatory requirements
- Diagnosing performance issues and recommending corrective actions
- Collaborating on the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of air filtration and dust extraction equipment
- Supporting COSHH and mechanical testing of various LEV systems
- Drafting clear technical reports for customers, explaining findings and recommendations
- Maintaining accurate testing records in compliance with health & safety procedures
- Working alongside customers and internal teams as a trusted LEV expert
- Supporting continuous improvement of HVDS services

The role requires both independent and collaborative working. You will also need to drive compliance programmes and develop strong relationships within the industry.
Requirements
We are looking for an LEV specialist with strong technical knowledge of:
- LEV systems, air filtration, dust extraction, and ventilation in food manufacturing environments
- Fault-finding and performance optimisation of flight systems
- Relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations (including COSHH and HSE LEV guidelines)
- Audit and compliance standards

Key skills and experience include:
- Inspection, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of air handling equipment
- Experience in producing clear technical reports with accurate test results
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work safely and independently on customer sites
- Develop trust-based relationships with clients and colleagues
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to customer locations across the UK/Ireland
Qualifications:
- Formal LEV training or certification (BOHS P601 preferred, P602/P604 highly desirable)
