Job Summary

Due to a continued growth in business, we have an exciting and career defining opportunity for a Level 2 NDT Technician to join the team in Western Approach. This site is an International Centre of Excellence in composite wing structure design and production, manufacturing composite wing spars and Fixed Trailing Edge assemblies for some of the world's most popular aircrafts.

The successful applicant will inspect and evaluate the A350XWB and A400M carbon wing spars and their associated components throughout the manufacturing process.

These inspections will utilize semi-automated and manual phased array and conventional pulse echo ultrasonic testing techniques.

You will work a core night shift pattern - which includes 33% shift allowance:

Monday - Thursday, 20:00pm - 06:00am

How You'll Contribute

In this position, you will carry out Semi-Automated, Manual Phased Array and Manual Pulse Echo Ultrasonic Inspection of carbon fibre composite wing spars and associated components.

Have documented evidence of classroom training and work experience hours sufficient to gain EN4179 Level 2 qualification in the Ultrasonic Inspection of carbon fibre composites Ability to read engineering drawings and be mathematically proficient in the utilisation and transposition of various formulae

In Addition To:

Understanding of composite manufacture gained in the Aerospace industry Understanding and adherence to aerospace quality standards A Team player with the ability to work alone in the continuous improvement of NDT processes and documentation Willing to work at customer sites as required
