Job Role

Managing telephone, email, and face-to-face enquiries.

Monitoring and recording attendance and punctuality data.

Following up on absences and maintaining accurate records.

Supporting administrative tasks.

Maintaining safeguarding procedures.

Providing excellent customer service and communication.

Wage

£12,480 for your first year, then could increase depending on your age.

National Minimum Wage rate for apprentices.

Term time only.

Paid an additional 6 hours per week to complete course work.

Training Course

Business administrator (level 3).

Hours

Monday to Thursday, 8am to 3.30pm

Friday, 8am to 2.15pm. Term-time only.

30 hours a week.

Start Date

Wednesday 2 September 2026.

Duration

1 year 6 months.

What You'll Do

Throughout the apprenticeship, the apprentice will learn how to combine administrative support, attendance management, customer service, and reception duties while developing professional communication, organisation, and IT skills. The apprenticeship typically involves both on-the-job training.

What You'll Learn

Skilled in the use of multiple IT packages and systems relevant to the organisation in order to:

  • Write letters or emails
  • Create proposals
  • Perform financial processes
  • Record and analyse data

Examples include MS Office or equivalent packages. Able to choose the most appropriate IT solution to suit the business problem. Able to update and review databases, record information, and produce data analysis where required.

Produces accurate records and documents including:

  • Emails
  • Letters
  • Files
  • Payments
  • Reports and proposals

Makes recommendations for improvements and present solutions to management. Drafts correspondence, writes reports, and able to review others' work. Maintains records and files, handles confidential information in compliance with the organisation's procedures. Coaches others in the processes required to complete these tasks.

Training Schedule

6 hours paid additionally per week to complete course work. On-the-job training.

Desirable Qualifications

GCSE in:

  • English (grade 4 or above)
  • Maths (grade 4 or above)
