Level 3 Business Administration Apprentice - Hasmonean Primary School
Hasmonean Primary School is an orthodox Jewish primary school with children from nursery (3 years old) to year 6 (11 years old). We teach the national curriculum for 60% of the day and Jewish Studies for 40% of the day. We provide an excellent education for our children and we were mentioned in the Sunday Times list of best schools last year.
Apprenticeship Summary
- Salary: £12,480 per year (based on £8.00 per hour)
- Working Week: Monday to Thursday, 9.15am – 4:15pm (including 60-minute break), Friday 8.15am - 1.15pm.
- Hours: 30 hours per week
- Apprenticeship Training: Online apprenticeship training supported by skilled tutors
- Qualification: Level 3 Business Administration Apprenticeship standard
- Location: 8-10 Shirehall Lane, London, NW4 2PD
September 2026 start
The Role
Main Duties
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date pupil and parent records using the Arbor school Management Information System (MIS).
- Support the school administrator with the daily management of pupil attendance registers.
- Answer telephone calls, take messages, and respond to enquiries in a professional and courteous manner.
- Welcome visitors, manage the sign-in process, and direct them to the appropriate staff or locations.
- Assist the Business Manager with ordering school supplies and resources.
- Receive, check, and unpack deliveries, ensuring orders are complete and accurate.
- Support the Business Manager by processing and entering invoices into the school's financial system.
- Assist teaching staff with organising and coordinating school trips.
- Support the school administrator with collecting and recording payments and funds as required.

Skills and Experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact confidently and professionally with both children and adults.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Google Forms, with experience producing documents, maintaining records, and collecting information.
- Able to work independently using initiative while recognising when guidance or clarification is required.
- Well organised, reliable, and capable of managing multiple tasks in a busy school office environment.
- Friendly, approachable, and committed to providing excellent administrative support and customer service.

Training and Development
As an apprentice, you will receive a combination of on-the-job training and formal learning, including:
- Completion of a Level 3 Business Administration Apprenticeship standard
- Regular mentoring and support from experienced staff
- Ongoing progress reviews and development meetings
Pre-employment checks
Please be aware that upon a successful offer of employment the company completes digitalised right-to-work checks and DBS applications via an external provider - 'Matrix Screening'. The company also completes an internal online social media search, in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education guidance.
