Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate activities that support learning across all areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage.
  • Observe, assess, and record children’s progress, using observations to inform next steps and share information with parents and colleagues.
  • Build positive, respectful relationships with children and families, demonstrating strong emotional intelligence and communication skills.
  • Adapt approaches to meet individual needs, including supporting additional needs and promoting inclusive practice.
  • Maintain a safe, hygienic, and stimulating environment; follow safeguarding procedures and contribute to risk assessments.
  • Work collaboratively with the team, attend regular meetings, and participate in training and continuous professional development.

Key Qualities We’re Looking For:

  • Hold a recognised Level 3 Early Years qualification.
  • Strong emotional intelligence and a calm, patient approach to care.
  • Ability to adapt practice to support individual children and diverse families.
  • Creative thinker with enthusiasm for play-based learning and sustainability.
  • Good communication and team-working skills.

To be eligible you must hold a Level 3 Early Years qualification. You must be able to work full time and be adaptable in your start and finish times (our nursery is open from 7.30am-6pm so hours will be within this).
