About The Role

A Level 3 EYFS Teaching Assistant is needed for a full-time role within a school-based nursery in Hailsham. Working Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 3:30pm, you will support children aged three to four years in their early development. The daily salary ranges from £85 to £95, depending on experience. This position requires a caring approach and dedication to fostering confidence and curiosity in young learners. Key responsibilities include helping to create a safe, stimulating environment and assisting with educational activities. The role starts on Wednesday 2nd September. Teach South seeks a qualified professional holding a relevant Level 3 qualification to join their supportive Early Years team.

We are seeking a passionate Level 3 Nursery Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and supportive school-based nursery in Hailsham. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a nurturing Early Years team, helping children to develop their confidence, curiosity and love of learning in a safe and stimulating environment.

The Role

As a Nursery Teaching Assistant, You Will

  • Support children aged 3–4 years in their learning and development.
  • Deliver high-quality play-based learning in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
  • Work closely with the class teacher and Early Years team to create an engaging and inclusive learning environment.
  • Encourage children's independence, communication and social development.
  • Observe and record children's progress, contributing to assessments where appropriate.
  • Build positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues.
  • Help maintain a safe, happy and stimulating nursery environment.

  • Holds a Level 3 Early Years or Teaching Assistant qualification.
  • Has experience working with young children in a nursery or school setting.
  • Has a good understanding of the EYFS framework.
  • Is patient, nurturing and passionate about supporting children's development.
  • Has excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Is reliable, enthusiastic and committed to helping every child reach their potential.
