Location: Walthamstow & Surrounding Areas
Start Date: ASAP

About the Role

Destination Education is currently recruiting for a skilled and enthusiastic Level 3 Teaching Assistant to work across a number of welcoming primary schools in Walthamstow and the surrounding areas. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant looking to take the next step in their career and play a key role in supporting pupils throughout their educational journey.

You will work closely with class teachers and SEN staff to support learning across the classroom, deliver targeted interventions, and help create an engaging environment where pupils feel confident and motivated to succeed. The role may involve supporting whole-class learning, small group interventions, or providing additional support to pupils who require extra assistance to reach their learning goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
  • Lead small group activities and targeted intervention sessions.
  • Provide additional support to pupils who require help accessing the curriculum.
  • Assist with classroom organisation, preparation of resources, and learning activities.
  • Encourage pupil engagement, participation, and confidence in learning.
  • Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
  • Promote positive behaviour and contribute to a supportive learning environment.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Holds a recognised Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.
  • Has previous experience working within a primary school setting.
  • Demonstrates excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Has a proactive, flexible, and positive attitude towards supporting children.
  • Is confident working with pupils across different year groups and abilities.
  • Has a genuine passion for education and helping children achieve their potential.
