About the Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed individual to join our team as a Teaching Assistant Apprentice. This 18-month programme offers a Level 3 Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship qualification while gaining hands-on, full-time experience in the classroom.

Key Details
- Salary: £8.00/hour
- Pay Review: Automatic pay increase to £9.12/hour (19+ years old) after one year
- Hours: 33 per week (Mon–Fri, adjustments may apply)
- Format: Hands-on classroom support + training with an e-learning portal and monthly tutor check-ins
Responsibilities
As a Teaching Assistant Apprentice, you will:
Day-to-Day Support
- Classroom Assistance:
- Handle materials, tools, and resources for lessons.
- Support lesson delivery, manage behavior, and foster an inclusive environment.
- Student Support:
- Teach 1:1 or in small groups, reinforcing knowledge across all subjects.
- Assist underperforming students and prepare them for exams/key milestones.
- Assessment Aid:
- Help administer tests, track progress, and compile results.
- Provide summary feedback to teachers and parents.

Specialist Support
- Manage special educational needs (SEN) students, aligning with Individual Education Plans (IEPs).

Person Specification
Desirable Qualifications
✄ GCSE in English (grades 4–9) or Maths (grades 4–9), though exceptions considered.
Personality & Skills
- Patient, empathetic, and able to remain calm under pressure.
- Enthusiastic but flexible—able to fit into the school’s dynamic rhythm.
- Excellent listening and communication skills.
- Confident basic IT use—and open to learning new tools.
- Inßtвляt интерес to education and wanting to support diverse learners, with cultural awareness included.
