Job Title: Level 3 Teaching Assistant
Location: M20: Manchester
Pay Rates: GBP15.25: GBP17.45 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am: 4:00pm
Contract: Full:time, Long:term (September Start)
Reeson Education are seeking a Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join a nurturing and inclusive SEN primary school in the M20 area. This is a full:time, long:term opportunity for a Level 3 Teaching Assistant who is passionate about supporting pupils with complex learning, emotional, and behavioural needs.
The Level 3 Teaching Assistant will play a key role in supporting pupils aged 3 to 8 years old who have experienced trauma, display challenging behaviours, and require a calm, consistent, and structured learning environment. You will work closely with teachers, therapists, and the wider support team to help every child achieve personal and academic success.
About The Level 3 Teaching Assistant Role
- Provide daily support to pupils with social, emotional, and communication needs.
- Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and differentiated lessons.
- Lead small group and one:to:one intervention sessions to target key areas of learning and behaviour.
- Step in to lead the class when required, following plans and maintaining routines.
- Encourage positive relationships, emotional regulation, and resilience among pupils.
- Implement behaviour support strategies with empathy, patience, and professionalism.
- Collaborate closely with the class teacher and SENCO to track pupil progress and adapt support strategies.

The ideal Level 3 Teaching Assistant will have a strong understanding of the barriers faced by children with complex needs and will be committed to helping each child thrive through encouragement, consistency, and creativity.
Requirements For The Level 3 Teaching Assistant
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (essential).
- Experience supporting pupils with complex needs, trauma, ASD, ADHD, or SEMH.
- Confident in leading small groups and stepping up to lead classes when required.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Positive attitude, resilience, and a passion for inclusive education.
- Team Teach or equivalent behaviour management training (advantageous).
