Level 3 Teaching Assistant in Early Years
- Salary: NJC Point 12–17 £21,605 - £23,437 actual per annum
- Hours: 32.5 hours per week, 39 weeks per year (term time only)
- Contract: Fixed term until 31 August 2027
- Start Date: 01 September 2026
About the Role
Caldmore Primary Academy seeks a Fixed Term Level 3 Teaching Assistant (TA) to support Early Years teachers, raise pupils’ learning and attainment, and assist with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
This role involves:
- Promoting pupils’ independence, self-esteem, and social inclusion
- Providing one-on-one or small-group support to ensure pupils can access the curriculum, engage in learning, and achieve a sense of accomplishment
- Sharing a passion for education whilst helping to uphold the Academy’s vision and values
- Working in a dynamic and inspiring environment to contribute to outstanding student success
Responsibilities
- Assist Early Years teachers in delivering high-quality learning experiences.
- Support pupils, including those with SEND, to develop independence and confidence.
- Encourage social inclusion and foster a positive learning environment.
- Provide tailored support to individual students or groups.
- Contribute to achieving the Academy’s mission of excellence in education.

Requirements & Qualifications
The ideal candidate must have:
- GCSEs in English and Maths at grade C/4 or above (or equivalent).
- NVQ Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
- First aid training, or a commitment to undertake training.
- A strong desire to foster child development, learning and welfare.
