Level 3 Technical Apprentice

Apprentices receive hands-on training and development in a specific technical field, enabling the apprentice to gain the necessary skills, knowledge, and experience to become proficient in their trade or industry. The role focuses on learning through practical experience under the guidance of more experienced professionals, while contributing to team objectives and operational tasks.

About the Role

Main accountabilities and responsibilities (including I Care)

  • An Employee with uncompromised commitment to our I Care journey which ensures a safe, healthy, and sustainable work environment.
  • Support the team while undergoing training to develop the technical skills required for the specific job.
  • Assist with daily tasks, observe and learn from senior technicians or engineers, and gradually take on more complex responsibilities.
  • Build a strong foundation in the technical aspects of the field, ensuring contributions to the team's work and progress toward becoming a qualified professional.
  • Observe and shadow experienced professionals to gain practical knowledge and understand best practices.
  • Take notes and ask questions to deepen understanding of processes and technical methods.
  • Learn and apply technical skills related to the specific field.
  • Participate in structured training programs, workshops, or courses to develop technical expertise.
  • Assist with identifying and troubleshooting minor technical problems.
  • Participate in team meetings, contributing ideas and feedback to improve processes.
  • Apply newly learned skills to improve personal performance.
  • Work effectively with other team members and departments, supporting collaborative efforts to achieve goals.

Experience and qualification requirements

  • College-level coursework / College student in a relevant field (such as engineering, mechanical systems, or electronics) may be preferred, though not always necessary.
  • No prior professional experience required, but an interest in the technical/ manufacturing field is important.
  • Basic understanding of technical concepts (gained through education or self-learning) may be a plus, but on-the-job training will be provided.
