Are you passionate about technology and enjoy solving problems? Do you want to earn while you learn, gain industry recognised qualifications and build a career in IT?

True Learning Partnership is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic apprentice to join its IT team, based primarily at Glossopdale School & Sixth Form. You'll work alongside experienced IT professionals, supporting staff and students across the Trust while completing the Level 4 Network Engineer Apprenticeship with Primary Goal.

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain real experience across networking, cloud technologies, end user support and infrastructure projects in a busy education environment.

What You'll Be Doing

You'll play an important role in supporting the Trust's IT services, including:

  • Providing first line and second line IT support to staff and students.
  • Provide limited reprographics and resource support to staff, including the preparation and printing of classroom and extracurricular materials (e.g. booklets, worksheets, and supporting documents).
  • Installing, configuring and maintaining PCs, laptops, printers and other devices.
  • Supporting network infrastructure, servers, WiFi and cloud services.
  • Logging, managing and resolving helpdesk tickets.
  • Assisting with Microsoft 365, email and user account administration.
  • Supporting IT during school events, examinations and planned projects.
  • Working across multiple schools within the Trust to help deliver exciting technology projects, including cloud migration and device deployment.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who is:

  • Passionate about IT and technology.
  • Friendly, approachable and confident communicating with people.
  • Keen to learn and develop new technical skills.
  • Organised and able to prioritise their workload.
  • A natural problem solver with a positive attitude.
  • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
  • A driver, or working towards a driving licence, would be advantageous due to travel between Trust sites.

Entry requirements

  • GCSE Maths and English (Grade 4/C or above, or equivalent).
  • A genuine interest in networking and IT infrastructure.
  • Eligibility to undertake a Level 4 apprenticeship.
