Leveraged Finance Associate | 6–8 Years' PQE | Elite US Law Firm | London
About the Role
An elite US law firm is seeking to recruit an experienced Leveraged Finance Associate to join its leading London practice.
The team advises premier private equity sponsors, financial institutions, and corporate borrowers on complex domestic and cross-border financing transactions, acting on some of the most sophisticated and high-profile deals in the market.
Key Responsibilities
This opportunity offers exposure to a broad range of matters, including:
- Acquisition finance
- Leveraged buyouts
- Sponsor-backed transactions
- Refinancings and recapitalisations
- Unitranche and syndicated financings
- Cross-border financing transactions

Requirements
Applications are invited from lawyers with between six and eight years' post-qualification experience (PQE) and a strong leveraged finance background gained at an elite US, Magic Circle, or leading international law firm.
Candidates should possess:
- Extensive experience advising sponsors, lenders, or borrowers on leveraged finance transactions
- Strong technical drafting and negotiation skills
- Experience managing significant workstreams and client relationships
- A proven track record of operating on complex, high-value transactions
- Excellent commercial judgement and a pragmatic approach to problem-solving
