You will join one of London’s most active teams within the mid-market leveraged finance space, with significant experience across a range of private equity debt financing transactions for both lender and private equity sponsor clients. Advising credit funds, direct lenders, banks, private equity sponsors and portfolio businesses on senior debt facilities, second lien, unitranche facilities, TLB, first out/last out and super senior facilities.

Led by two heavyweight partners with more than two decades of combined experience at the firm, the team has driven significant growth and established itself as one of the most active in the London market. You’ll gain exposure to their longstanding client base, which includes Clydesdale Bank, Barings, Tosca Debt Capital, Santander, Bank of Ireland, and many others.
The Role
Joining the firm’s highly respected and sought-after Leverage Finance team, you’ll focus on advising a variety of bespoke complex transactions, with a particular focus on leveraged and acquisition finance - from origination, negotiation and documentation to closing. Building relationships with a variety of client such as; banks, private credit funds and other lenders, sponsors and portfolio companies.
You will become a key part within this high-performing, cohesive and busy team. Contributing to the growth of the practice by building and maintaining strong client relationships, alongside working closely with the Private Equity team and their HNW clientele.
There is genuine continuous development, where you will be encouraged to take on high levels of responsibility and can expect to take a leading role in most matters. Alongside this, you’ll have the chance to build and develop your own profile, with a strong emphasis on business development that will contribute to both your success and the team’s growth. You’ll also play a key role in supporting junior fee earners, providing supervision and guidance to help them thrive.

Requirements
- Be a qualified solicitor with at least 5 years' PQE, in leveraged finance and leading on private equity-backed transactions.
- Strong familiarity with managing transactions, in particular facility agreements, term sheets, commitment papers and intercreditor arrangements on leveraged finance transactions.
- Able to lead complex matters and collaborate across the team to deliver seamless, high-quality advice.
- Genuinely enthusiastic about business development, with the drive to build client relationships and support practice growth.
