LGV Class 1 Driver

Class 1 Drivers – Glasgow Depot

Permanent, Full-Time Role 🚚

Müller Milk & Ingredients Distribution team are seeking Class 1 Drivers to join our Glasgow Depot. This is a permanent, full-time position with no overnight stays, modern vehicles, and flexible working options.


About the Role

As a Distribution Driver, you’ll support our distribution network by transporting and delivering milk and dairy products to various retailers. This role involves transporting goods from our depots to stores, ensuring timely deliveries, completing documentation accurately, and adhering to safety and regulatory standards. You’ll play a key role between our business and our valued customers.


Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver milk and dairy products to stores and regional distribution centres.
  • Ensure timely deliveries, accurate documentation, and compliance with safety and transportation regulations.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to road safety—respecting other road users and maintaining good driving habits.
  • Conduct daily vehicle checks to ensure all aspects are operating efficiently and safely.
  • Plan routes proactively by checking for safety restrictions, upcoming roadworks, and traffic hotspots to maintain efficiency.
  • Represent Müller professionally—interacting with internal/external teams, customers, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Pay & Benefits

Shift Pattern

  • 4 days on / 3 days off
  • Shift Starting Times:
    • Wed – Sat (05:00 AM start)
    • Sun – Wed (00:00 AM start)

Hourly Rate

  • £17.30 /hour to £28.42 /hour (dependent on shift working).

Overtime

  • Overtime pay rate: £19.46/hour.

Requirements

  • Valid HGV Class 1 Licence (LGV Cat C+E) + CPC
  • Digital tachograph card
  • Under 6 minor points on driving licence (no serious conviction history)
  • Preference for candidates with prior multi-drop Class 1 experience
  • Must be physically capable of loading/unloading trolleys
  • Reliable, self-motivated, and a strong team player
