LGV Class 1 Driver (Days)

THE ROLE: LGV Class 1 Driver | Full Time | Newbury Our drivers are one of the most important roles within EV Cargo, and as a fully qualified Class 1 Driver, you will have the important role of delivering products to our customers whilst being safe and taking care of yourself on the road. THE SALARY:

This role will be based at our site in Newbury.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITES: Various HGV driving duties, including daily checks to ensure your vehicle is roadworthy and safe to use, complying with vehicle security and standing procedures at all times.

Manage the hand held terminals and be able to record accurate information.

Ensure all paperwork is completed accurately and returned to the Transport Office.

Report any delivery issues in a timely manner to the Transport Office.

Provide a professional driving service, meeting and exceeding customer expectations

Ensure health and safety standards are adhered at all times

You may be required to drive 3.5t vehicles during peak periods.

Able to work weekends. OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE: Qualifications. Class 1 Driving Licence. Experience. Previous experience is essential. Refrigeration and multi drop experience would be beneficial. Will have completed a CPC Training Course and have a strong geographical and logistical knowledge. Communication. You will have good communication skills, spoken and written. Influence & Persuasion. Build good working relationships with work colleagues and our customers. Planning & Organisation. You will be adaptable in your start and finish times and the ability to prioritise workloads and meet tight deadlines. People & Self Development.
