Class 2 LGV Driver

Location: LBS Roofing, Swansea

We’re looking for a reliable and customer-focused LGV Driver to join our busy and friendly team at [Branch name]. If you're an experienced driver who delivers excellent service and thrives as part of a team, we want to hear from you!


About the Role

As an LGV Driver, you’ll play a key role in our delivery operations, ensuring goods are transported safely while upholding high standards—whether on the road, in the yard, or during customer interactions. You’ll support operations both inside and outside the vehicle to maintain smooth, efficient workflows.


Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct daily vehicle checks and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Ensure safe loading, securing, and unloading of goods.
  • Operate a vehicle-mounted hi-ab crane (training provided).
  • Deliver products safely and professionally to customer sites.
  • Maintain a clean and well-kept vehicle at all times.
  • Assist customers and provide product support when needed.
  • Support the branch team with delivery preparation, customer service, and stock management.
  • Adhere to all health & safety, driving, and company procedures.

Requirements

Essential:

  • A valid LGV (Class 2) driving licence.
  • An up-to-date Driver CPC and relevant qualifications.
  • A professional, customer-centric attitude—polite, helpful, and solution-oriented.
  • Experience (or willingness to train) in hi-ab crane operation.
  • A focus on safety, accuracy, and customer care.

Desirable:

  • A forklift licence or the ability to complete relevant training.

Additional Duties:

  • Willingness to lend support in the yard or warehouse when necessary.

Work Schedule & Compensation

  • Average Hours: 40.75 hours per week
  • Friday Schedule: 07:30 — 16:00
  • Monday-Thursday Schedule: 07:30 — 16:30
  • Annual Salary: £28,960.10
