Pay & Contract
- Hourly rate: £17.91ph
- £2.72 premium night rate (18:00–06:00)
- enhanced overtime rates
- Contract: Permanent (40 hours/week)
- Days of Work: Monday–Friday
Shift Pattern
Monday–Friday, 20:15–07:15 (note: changes possible, with max ±1-hour variation).

Job Description
What You’ll Be Doing
As the LGV Driver, you’ll be crucial in bulk cross-site/logistics operations for DPD UK’s countrywide network.
- Core Mission:
- Maintain efficiency in nationwide collections and deliveries (LGV-friendly hubs).
- Logistics:
- Coordinate trailer swaps and oversee loading/unloading during live operations.
- Tech & Compliance:
- Use GPS and digital tachographs to manage routes.
- Ensure 100% operational compliance with regulations.
- Professional Relations:
- Represent DPD professionally with dispatchers and customers nationwide.
- Safety:
- Conduct daily vehicle inspections and adopt safe driving principles.
Key Responsibilities
✔ Drive modern tractors/trailers to deliver and collect parcels between DPD terminals. ✔ Complete loading/unloading safely according to company/traffic conditions. ✔ Maximise time efficiency, adapting to dynamic schedules when needed. ✔ Collaborate with the dispatch team to assure timely deliveries. ✔ Uphold DPD’s safety and compliance culture at all times.

Requirements & Qualifications
What You Bring
- Full UK Class 1 (Category CE) LGV Licence + valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
- At least 12-months’ experience driving Class 1 vehicles.
- Strong geographical awareness (UK road routes).
- A safety-first mindset with adaptable problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and deliver high service standards.
