The Pay
- £16.35 per hour (plus £2.72 per hour night rate premium for shifts 18:00–06:00)
- Enhanced overtime rate
Contract & Hours
- Permanent
- 40 hours per week
- Monday to Friday
- Shift: 20:15–05:45 (note: shifts may occasionally vary by ±1 hour)

Job Description
What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll play a critical role in our national transport department, managing bulk collections between DPD sites and major customers.
- Booking & Delivery Execution: Plan and execute nationwide collections and deliveries for LGV-friendly locations.
- Trailer Management: Conduct trailer swaps and oversee live loading/unloading to keep the operations running smoothly.
- Tech & Compliance: Utilise GPS and digital tachographs to ensure route optimisation and full compliance.
- Customer Connection: Build professional relationships with dispachers and clients across the UK—being professional, resourceful, and reliable is critical.
- Safety First: Perform thorough pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and demonstrate safe driving practices in all conditions.

Qualifications & Requirements
What You Bring
📜 Certifications & Licences
- Valid UK Class 1 (Category CE) Licence
- Operating CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence)
- Digital Tachograph Card
🚛 Experience
- At least 12 months of experience driving Class 1 vehicles
🗺️ Skills & Knowledge
- Excellent geographical knowledge of UK roads and routes
- Safety-first mindset—prioritising at all times
