LGV Driver
Articulated Waste Collection HGV Driver – C+E (Fixed Rotas)
Salary 💼 £33,503.60 (pay review pending) 🕒 40 hours per week (basic) + 2.5 paid break hours 📍 Occasional rotational travel (home base is Bidston, Wirral CH41 1EB; regularly working from Southport PR8 5LA, Huyton L36 6BN and Gillmoss L10 5HA)

What You’ll Do
Core Responsibilities
- Operate articulated vehicles (+ rigid if required) to transport waste and recycling across Veolia’s regional network.
- Perform daily pre- and post-operation vehicle checks (MOT compliance, pull-away controls, documentation).
- Complete electronic tachograph/Digital Vehicle Log records and operational HGV/LRAD digital bookings.
- Report issues immediately—coupling defects, safety anomalies, or environmental incidents to supervisors.
- Work closely with Managers & Supervisors in a fast-paced, time-sensitive service environment.
- Uphold safety, security, and environmental standards on every journey.
- Maintain and submit detailed paperless/in-app records of deliveries, collections, and any discrepancies.

Additional Commitments
- Commit to 9-to-5-days (Mon–Fri, 06:00–14:30).
- Availability to perform light office tasks (email replies, logging hours) during off-cycle shifts.
- Occasional overtime may be needed to meet demand; priority will be given to trainees where possible.
Requirements
Essential Criteria
✔ HGV C+E licence (including forklift attachment training or willingness to attend). ✔ Up-to-date DAS CPC and Digitach/Digitachograph card. ✔ 9+ months of HGV experience (including health/ Licence Renewal requirements). ✔ Willingness for shift work (rostered days may vary).
Desirable
✔ IT skills (confident handling simulator alerts in Sea Lion software). ✔ Customer-facing experience (networking with businesses or residents). ✔ Basic First Aid certification/internal (not mandatory, but valued).
