LGV Driver (Class 1 / C+E)
🔗 Location: West Thurrock CDC, Oliver Road, West Thurrock, RM20 3ED
💰 Salary: £19.06-£24.59 hourly (including allowances)
- Base rate: £19.06/hr
- Weekend shift allowance: £2.89/hr
- Unsocial hours (7pm-3am): £1.54/hr
- Thurrock location allowance: £1.10/hr
🕒 Hours:
- Start times: 9am–4pm (flexible discussion at interview)
- Minimum 40 hours/week, 5 days over 7 (including weekends)
- Full-time, permanent contract
About the Role
As a Transport Co-operative (*Co-op) LGV driver, you’ll transport products safely from the distribution centre to stores across the Thurrock region. You’ll unload stock upon arrival and ensure customers receive deliveries on time. We’re a people-first organisation dedicated to work-life balance, safety, and professional growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Safe & efficient deliveries: Drive safely, adhering to road rules, Co-op procedures, and weather conditions
- Customer focus: Outwardly represent the Co-op with professionalism
- Teamwork: Work positively with colleagues and customers, offering exceptional service
- Flexibility: Be prepared to work weekends and unsocial hours as needed
- Stock handling: Support store teams in unloading goods efficiently

Essential Requirements
✅ Hold a valid C+E Category (Class 1) LGV licence ✅ Previous driver experience (multi-drop experience preferred) ✅ Excellent customer service and communication skills ✅ Reliability, well-organised nature, and strong time management ✅ Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
