Salary: £33,628.01 plus Veolia benefits & pension
Location: Veolia Yard, Marchwood, Oceanic Way, SO40 4BD (primary role) Travel required to outposts in Alton and Fareham
Hours: Full time, 42.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday (start times between 6 AM–7 AM), overtime available

You’ll play a vital role in maintaining communities by collecting waste from Transfer Stations and HWRC Sites across Hampshire, ensuring cities, towns, and villages stay safe, clean, and operational.

What You’ll Do
- Daily Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough daily driver checks following the Driver/Operator Handbook
- Ensure all paperwork is kept up to date
- Comply with all traffic laws, legislation, security protocols, and weight regulations
- Adhere to Health & Safety Regulations
- Load/unload waste at disposal sites while following site rules

Driving & Collections:
- Operate a Roll-on Roll-off (RO/RO) vehicle, collecting waste from across the Hampshire network

Other Duties:
- Carry out any additional tasks as directed by your line manager
Requirements
Essential:
- Valid Class 1 HGV Licence with at least 1 year of driving experience
- Experience driving and operating Roll-on Roll-off vehicles
- Valid Digital Tachograph Card
- Current Driver CPC
Desirable:
- Previous experience in Waste Management preferred
