Permanent LGV Driver – Operational Logistics (Colchester)
Location & Compensation
Location): Colchester Rate of Pay: £19.96 per hour (dependent on skills progression + overtime opportunities) Additional Benefits:
- Fuel & performance bonus
- Part of a 3-week rotating day shift pattern (averaging 12-hour shifts plus statutory breaks)
- Permanent, full-time role (with 4–5 AM starts common)

Key Responsibilities
- Safely transport waste products between operational sites, adhering to Health & Safety procedures
- Collaborate with Operational Logistics (WROL) office teams, site managers, and operators
- Maintain compliance with Angilian Water standards for delivering sewage-related by-products to:
- Sewage treatment works
- Farmers' fields
- Energy generation centres
- The sewerage network
- Work at height without restrictions (occupational health checks required, including three points of contact on ladders)
- Perform manual tasks, including:
- Lifting and sorting waste materials
- Ensuring proper disposal and recycling
- Promote sustainable practices on every job
- Maintain positive, professional communication with customers and the public

Essential Requirements
- Current LGV driver’s licence with Class 1 endorsements (C+E licence required)
- Completed CPC A (Training will be provided if needed)
- Hands-on attitude—willing to get involved in physical work
- Impeccable driving record (must be able to safely operate diverse vehicles)
- Team player—flexible, adaptable, and comfortable working independently
- Environmentally conscious—passionate about sustainability and waste management
- Customer-focused—good communication skills and professional attitude essential
