LGV Driver Nights - Flexible
Flexible LGV Driver – Permanent, Full Time Location: Whitlingham (Norwich, Norfolk) Rate: £22.56–£[progressive]-per-hour (+ overtime, fuel/performance bonus) Contract: Permanent, Full Time (shift starts ~17:30–18:30 daily)
About the Role
Anglian Water is seeking a Flexible LGV Driver to transport sewage-related by-products across Norfolk as part of our operational logistics team. This role promotes Safer Every Day—our unified safety approach—while delivering essential waste services to treatment works, energy centres, and agricultural land.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class 1 LGV vehicles (C+E) between sites, adhering to Anglian Water’s safety and operational standards
- Drive a variety of vehicles (some on short notice) as part of a standby rota, covering shifts flexibly (average 9-hour day + statutory breaks)
- Maintain three points of contact when working at height (e.g., ladders)
- Ensure compliance with health/safety protocols and consistent two-way communication with central logistics and site managers
- Repurpose waste to support your dispensary health and sustainable energy programs through your operations

Requirements
- Valid Class 1 LGV Licence (C+E)
- Fully completed commercial vehicle CPC
- Minimum 2 years LGV driving experience (preferably in waste/recycling sectors)
- Flexibility for essential-service demands (standby, overtime, short-notice callouts)
- Ability to work at height and pass occupational health checks
- Strong commitment to safety and critical compliance within a regulated sector
Competencies & Assessments
- Proven ability to:
- Operate under pressure with minimal supervision
- Adapt to varied driving conditions
- Contribute to teamwork across operational sites
- Drug & alcohol testing applies throughout employment
- Mandatory in-car familiarisation check before service starts
