Company Description LOCATION: DPD York - Glaisdale Rd, Northminster Business Park, York, YO26 6QU Contract Type: Permanent 40 Hours Per Week Days of Work: Monday to Friday Start Window: 14:00 - 18:00 Love the freedom of the open road but want the backing of a massive, tech-forward brand? We’re looking for a LGV Relief/Tramper Driver to join DPD. This is a "lifestyle" role for those who prefer autonomy, modern rigs, and a solid routine. We're looking for a LGV Driver - Relief / Tramper to become a critical link in the DPD network, handling major bulk movements between our sites and key customers across the UK. DPD UK is a member of Geopost who are a market leader in parcel delivery and e-commerce solutions, providing a broad range of delivery and innovative services for customers worldwide. Job Description The Role: As a Relief/Tramper Driver, you’re the backbone of our network. You’ll handle bulk collections across the UK in our state-of-the-art fleet. This isn't your average driving job - it's for those who thrive on independence and responsibility. The Setup: 4 nights out per week (sleeping in your cab at secure DPD sites). The Tech: No ancient systems here—we use top-tier GPS and logistics tech. The Vibe: High autonomy. You manage your route, stay professional, and keep the wheels turning. Logistics Legend: Every mile you drive is integral to keeping the country moving. You're essential. Your Rig is Your Mobile Office: Drive our modern HGV fleet and transport pallet loads across the country. If you’re a professional, self-motivated LGV Driver ready for a change of scenery, let's talk. Qualifications What You Bring The Licence: Valid UK Class 1 (Category CE) Licence, CPC Card, and Digital Tachograph Card. The Experience: At least 12 months of experience handling Class 1 vehicles. The Skillset: Excellent geographical knowledge of UK roads and a "safety-first" mindset.
