Company Description
Location: DPD York – Glaisdale Rd, Northminster Business Park, York, YO26 6QU
Contract:
- Permanent
- 40 hours per week
- Mon–Fri
Hours: 14:00–18:00 (start window)

The Role
Key Responsibilities:
- Critical link in our network: Transport major bulk shipments between sites and key customers.
- Operate within our cutting-edge HGV fleet, managing pallet loads nationwide.
- Drive with high autonomy—you’ll plan routes, maintain professionalism, and ensure seamless logistics.
- Technology-focused: Use top-tier GPS and logistics software for efficiency and reliability.

The Pay & Perks
Competitive Salary:
- £16.35/hour + £2.72/hour night premium (for 18:00–06:00 shifts).
Daily Support:
- £28.67 allocated for food and subsistence per day out.

Requirements
What You Bring:
Licensing & Experience:
- Valid UK Class 1 (CPC Category CE) licence.
- Digital Tachograph Card.
- ≥12 months’ Class 1 HGV experience.
Technical Skills:
- Expert guidance of UK road networks.
- A safety-first mindset; strict compliance with regulations.
Soft Skills:
- Self-motivated, resourceful, and resilient under pressure.
- Strong communication; a team player when needed.
