Job Description
What You’ll Be Doing
As an LGV Driver, you’ll play a critical role in national transport and logistics, ensuring smooth bulk collections and deliveries across the UK. Responsibilities include:
- National collections & deliveries:
- Execute nationwide LessonSportwagen-LGV-friendly transport contracts between DPD sites and major customer locations.
- Logistics & operations:
- Manage trailer swaps and oversee real-time loading/unloading to maintain seamless network flow.
- Compliance & tech usage:
- Operate digital tachographs and GPS systems to manage routes efficiently and ensure 100% compliance.
- Internal & client relations:
- Maintain professional engagement with dispatchers and customers nationwide.
- Thy remain resourceful, reliable, and proactive in problem-solving.
- Safety dependability:
- Conduct thorough vehicle inspections before every shift.
- Prioritise safe driving in all conditions.

Requirements
What You Bring
To excel in this role, you must possess:

Full licence qualification:
- Valid UK Class 1 (Category CE) licence.
- CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) card (up-to-date).
- Digital Tachograph Card (required).

Experience:
- At least 6 months’ experience driving Class 1 vehicles.
- Strong knowledge of UK road networks, particularly LGV-friendly routes.

Skills & mindset:
- Safety-conscious with a problem-solving approach under pressure.
- Reliable and dependable, with attention to deadlines and quality service.
