About the Role
We are recruiting for an LGV Instructor to work at GTG Training in Glasgow.

Hours
Full-time: Monday – Friday, 7:45 AM – 4:15 PM (with a 30-minute lunch break)
Job Overview
GTG has over 50 years of experience delivering driver training. As an LGV Instructor, you’ll:
- Train students to DVSA test standard
- Conduct practical driving assessments
- Handle course paperwork to high standards
You’ll need at least a Category C & E licence with three+ years of experience. Training experience is desirable but not essential. GTG offers 2–4 weeks of instructor training, making this an ideal role for experienced LGV drivers looking for a career change or trainer professionals taking on a new challenge.

Day-to-Day Duties
- Perform daily vehicle checks on training units
- Conduct driving assessments
- Instruct C1, C, C+E and PCV candidates (if qualified)
- Deliver Module 4 (initial DCPC) training
- Complete all relevant course paperwork
- Liaise with transport administrators and senior instructors
Essential Requirements
- Category C & E licence for at least three years
- Strong communication skills and patient approach
- Excellent accuracy, with good literacy skills for paperwork
- Ability to confidently engage with diverse audiences
- Reliable timekeeping and professional appearance
