LondonEnergy operates the second largest waste contract in the UK, handling and processing nearly 750,000 tonnes of London's waste every year. We have a dedicated team of people working across our various North London sites, making a positive difference to the environment and the local community.
By processing household waste at our facility, we produce enough waste from energy to power 80,000 homes every year and recycle 70% of items through our Reuse and Recycling Centres.
About the Role
As a HGV / LGV1 Night Driver you will load, collect and transport waste and recovered materials from LondonEnergy (LEL) operated sites, to designated destinations in a safe and efficient manner, in compliance with legal requirements and Company policies.

Responsibilities
- Adhere to all tachograph regulations and report any vehicle or plant defects in line with company procedures.
- Drive safely and lawfully, reporting any accidents or incidents promptly with written and camera evidence.
- Immediately notify the company of any driving licence infringements.
- Accept liability for road traffic or parking offences unless the company determines no driver fault.
- Operate articulated and rigid vehicles to transport containers and bulk waste between sites safely and efficiently.
- Maintain vehicles in a clean, safe, and roadworthy condition, ensuring defects are promptly reported.
- Ensure vehicles are refueled daily or as instructed.

Requirements
- You must hold a HGV class 1 / LGV1 / C+E licence and have no more than 6 points on your licence due to insurance purposes.
- You must have previous experience of driving a similar sized vehicle.
- An up to date Driver Qualification Card (CPC) & Driver card.
- Be able to work 18:30 - 04:45 Monday - Friday
