JOB TITLE: Liability Adjuster
DIVISION: Loss Adjusting
OFFICE: Remote working with travel required
We are looking to recruit a Liability Adjuster to investigate Employers’ Liability, Public Liability and Motor claims. We are seeking the best candidate for this role and therefore welcome applications from individuals based anywhere in Ireland. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong and proactive claims professional who is confident working independently, engaging with clients and delivering high-quality outcomes.
Key Skills:
- Excellent degree of knowledge of Employers’ Liability and Occupiers related claims and principles
- Strong understanding of the legal principles and practical framework underpinning EL, PL and Motor liability claims.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Strong IT literacy and confidence using claims management systems and related tools.
- A high level of personal and professional integrity, with the ability to lead by example.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a wider team.
- Ability to manage a busy and varied portfolio while maintaining awareness of SLAs, service expectations and regulatory standards.
- Confidence in investigating claims thoroughly, identifying relevant issues and pursuing appropriate lines of enquiry.
- Ability to work accurately under pressure, adhering to deadlines and service standards
- Experience managing liability claims, including Employers’ Liability, Public Liability, Product Liability and Motor claims, would be a distinct advantage.
- Minimum of three years’ liability claims experience.
- Relevant insurance or adjusting qualifications, such as APA, CIP, ACII.

The Role:
The successful candidate will use their technical expertise and practical claims experience to proactively assess liability claims and provide clear, detailed reports to clients. The role requires a strong focus on client requirements, service standards and the delivery of a consistently professional customer experience. You will be responsible for investigating legal and policy liability by gathering, analysing and presenting relevant evidence in well-structured client reports. Practical experience in assessing quantum, including application of the IRB Personal Injury Guidelines, is also required. To succeed in this role, you will need to demonstrate initiative, sound judgement and a commitment to delivering a market-leading service on behalf of QuestGates Ireland.

This role offers a 35-hour working week, Monday to Friday, with a flexible approach to working hours.
