Role
The role sits within the library team providing high-quality legal and commercial research services to all UK, Ireland and Middle East offices. The role combines direct research delivery with training, current awareness, resource management and project support. The right candidate will play an important part in ensuring that the firm’s people are skilled and effective users of legal and business information resources, including navigating an increasingly complex digital and AI-assisted research landscape. This role has a direct impact on the quality, efficiency and consistency of research support across the firm. The role supports better-informed decision-making, stronger client service and more effective business development. Through training and advocacy, the postholder will also help build research capability across the organisation, ensuring colleagues understand how to use key resources effectively and keep pace with developments in legal technology and AI-assisted research. Responsibilities
• Enquiry work, offering high- level legal and commercial research services and support for fee earners and business services teams in all UK, Ireland and Middle East offices• Current awareness and business intelligence o Selecting and presenting materials for the Library's Daily Bulletin current awareness service o Press alerts using LexisNexis NewsDesk o Ongoing monitoring on clients, industries, legal and regulatory developments o Other current awareness as required• Training library users o Designing and delivering interactive training for new early careers intakes (in small and large groups, remotely or face to face) using a variety of learning methods o Designing and delivering training for other library users as and when required o Contributing to internal guidance, training and best practice around AI assisted research o Updating research guidance, held on Prezi• Resource management o Managing subscriptions, including renewals, invoicing and catalogue records.• Updating library portal pages, using SharePoint, as needed• Project work as needed• Other duties as and when necessary Required experience, skills, and attributes
