Our brand-new facilities allow us to continue expanding our curriculum offer, ensuring students' experiences are both varied and enriching. The premises has undergone a comprehensive programme of refurbishment, and reached completion in May 2019. Our new Sports Block opened in May 2019, and has fantastic facilities including a Sports Hall, Activity Studio, Multi Use Game Areas.
Having been recognised as ‘Outstanding’ by OFSTED in January 2023, we are excited to have new members of staff join us in delivering transformative learning experiences. The inspectors commented that ‘learning is the business of the day’ and that sentiment underpins all that we do. Since then, the school continues to grow and strive for the highest standards.

Summary
We are currently looking to appoint a Librarian and Administrative Support Officer at Harris Academy Tottenham, maintaining a professional, stimulating and tidy learning environment at all times and foregrounding student achievements.
This role is a 12-month fixed-term contract from September 2026. The actual salary will be £28,793.48 - £30,521.88 (40 weeks per year, 37.5 hours per week.

Your Responsibilities Will Include
- Management, organisation and supervision of the Learning Resources Centre
- Ensuring learning resources equipment is well maintained, reporting all computer faults immediately to the ICT team
- Contributing to presentation and consultation evenings and meeting with parents to encourage reading beyond curriculum time
- Providing advice to staff, students and the community regarding use, provision, development of Learning Resources
- Devising and offering INSET activities and training in the use of Learning Resource materials
- Time-tabling LRC/enterprise centre/post 16 study centre and other resources
- Liaising with the English and media team to publicise and organise an annual book week and frequent visits from writers to raise the profile of reading and writing for pleasure
- Encouraging the effective use of the Learning Resource Centre across the curriculum at Key Stage 3/4 and 16+
- Providing guidance to groups and individuals using the Learning Resource Centre
- Liaison with other information agencies including other resource areas, as well as LRC managers across the Federation
- Development and implementation of study and information skills linked into the curriculum
- Participating in community links, including opening out of academy hours (a flexible approach to working hours is required)
- Supporting the Resources Manager in the management of the Centre's budgets
- Keeping appropriate records to enable efficient management of resources
- Disseminating information on resources and access to staff and students
- Monitoring, evaluating and reviewing the use and development of the area
- Organising and supervising after hours, lunch time and break time use of resources for students e.g. study support and homework clubs
Qualifications & Experience
We would like to hear from you if you have:
- English and Mathematics GCSE or equivalent
- Degree or equivalent
- Knowledge of library systems
- Knowledge of Accelerated Reading, or similar reading scheme
- Knowledge of National Curriculum, particularly for English
- Three years' experience of working in an inner city school or educational establishment
- Experience of managing a library service
- Experience of a range of reading schemes
