Library User Engagement Officer
The Role
You will be at the heart of our library’s daily operations, ensuring a welcoming environment for all users, including:
- In-person support from the Library Welcome Desk
- Remote assistance for students, staff, and visitors engaged in studying and researching
Key Responsibilities Include
- Assisting students, staff, and visitors with information and support services (both in-person and online)
- Answering first-line enquiries, including:
- Guidance on accessing resources, collections, and membership services
- Support for digital resources and printing services
- Handling information enquiries and library account issues
- Facilitating book retrievals
- Ensuring positive and inclusive library experiences by optimising our learning spaces

About You
We are seeking an enthusiastic and confident individual with a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. Ideal candidates should:
- Demonstrate versatility, handling multiple enquiries efficiently at our bustling Library Welcome Desk (both in-person and online)
- Be proactive, organised, reliable, and great communicators, delivering services with a smile
- Operate independently, with:
- Strong IT skills
- Excellent problem-solving abilities
- Ability to act as the primary point of contact for any service-related issues
