About NABA London

NABA London is the first international campus of Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti, opening in East London in October 2026. Combining Italian design heritage with London’s creative industries, NABA London will offer an international, studio-based learning environment for students across art, design, fashion, and creative disciplines. Located at Here East in the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, the new campus represents an exciting opportunity to join a growing institution at launch stage and contribute to shaping the student experience from day one. Programmes delivered at NABA London are validated by Regent's University London.

Role Overview

We are seeking a proactive and highly organized Library Specialist, reporting to the London School Director and Head of Education, to ensure optimal level of library services, in terms of the spaces, availability of resources, information/consultancy and operational support; manage the development of the library offer by purchasing materials both independently or based on the requests and in agreement with Head of Education, Course Leaders and faculty.

Key Responsibilities

Library Management

  • Ensure the organization and management of the library services and areas, in order to guarantee the fruition of materials and online resources by faculty and students.
  • Guarantee that all services and resources offered by the library are easily accessible thanks to dedicated signboards, through the update of the Library website, service guides and notifications to students and faculty.

Library Services

  • Guarantee access to library’s resources for student and staff: manage consultation and loan for student and faculty.
  • Train and support them on the use of the catalogue and of the online resources.
  • Support students in research and consultation.

Books and Materials

  • Ensure and improve the collection, cataloging and disposal of books, magazines, DVDs and dissertations’ materials.
  • Ensure the purchase of all library materials requested by Course Leaders and faculty under the supervision of the Director of Education (books and DVDs) and the updating of subscriptions to specialized periodicals and online resources within assigned budget.
  • Manage and monitor the related purchase orders.

Reporting

  • Responsible for the preparation of reports for quality audits and other relevant accreditation or regulatory requirements regarding the library.
  • Oversee the collection of data related to the usage of library resources and services and produces analysis that informs future decisions and acquisitions.
  • Back office and student services activities.

Essential

About You

  • Bachelor’s degree in Humanities field.
  • Previous experience (minimum 3 years) in academic or specialized libraries.
  • Excellent organizational and cataloging skills.
  • Experience in managing library databases, cataloging systems, and circulation processes.
  • Familiarity with acquisition and subscription renewal processes.
  • Experience with digital library tools and online resource platforms.
  • Knowledge and interest in at least one Naba area of study (Fashion, Design, Visual Arts etc.)
  • Strong user service orientation, with the ability to support students and faculty in research and material access.
  • Ability to maintain and improve digital and physical collections.
  • Competence in preparing internal materials such as signage, notices, and service guides.
  • Proficiency in library management systems.
  • Familiarity with online databases, e-journals, and digital libraries.
  • Good command of Microsoft Office.

  • Ability to collaborate with faculty and staff for academic resource planning.
  • Willingness to stay up to date with trends in library technology and user engagement.
  • Proactive approach to improving access, usability, and visibility of library services, including posting of competitions and research opportunities.

Languages

  • Fluent English (C1/C2 level) written and spoken; additional languages are a plus.

Terms of Employment

  • Contract: Full-time employment
  • Compensation range: £ 30,000 - 35,000
  • Working pattern: Onsite
