- £25,186 – £26,244 pro-rata per annum (equivalent to £16,166 – £16,846 per annum for a part-time role of 23.75 hours per week)
- Location: Havant Library (with occasional shifts at Waterlooville Library)
- Contract Type: Permanent

Key Responsibilities

Customer Engagement & Service
- Create a welcoming, inclusive environment for all age groups and support visitors in accessing full library services.
- Lead rhythm and story sessions, including Summer Reading Challenge and other reading promotions.

Community & Events Support
- Assist with manual tasks such as moving furniture, setting up event spaces, and organizing stock.
- Develop digital confidence across devices for customers, aiding with administrative duties like payments, calls, and 库存管理.

Communication & Marketing
- Promote library services via social media and collaborate with external partners to boost community engagement.

Operational Tasks
- Assist with accounts, customer service enquiries, and library administrative services.
Requirements
- Experience in a busy, customer-facing role, with a friendly, inclusive attitude.
- Excellent communication skills, able to adapt to diverse interactions and scenarios.
- Strong digital literacy, proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and willingness to learn new systems.
- Comfortable using social media for community engagement (training provided if needed).
- Physically capable of lifting boxes, moving furniture, and setting up spaces.

Your Working Pattern
Base: Havant Library (with one shift per fortnight at Waterlooville Library).
Sample Roster: Week 1:
- Monday: 9am–1.30pm
- Tuesday: 9am–5pm
- Wednesday: Off
- Thursday: 9am–1.30pm
- Friday: 9am–1.30pm
- Saturday: Waterlooville shift (9am–5pm)
Week 2:
- Monday: 9am–5pm
- Tuesday: 9am–1.30pm
- Wednesday: Off
- Thursday: Off
- Friday: 9am–5pm
- Saturday: Off
