Adult Supported Living Home – Life Practitioner Vacancy
About the Role
Our Adult Supported Living Home at Carbaid, located in Yaxley, Peterborough, is seeking passionate, compassionate, and dedicated Life Practitioners to join our team at Kisimul.
As a Life Practitioner, you will provide essential care and support to individuals with severe learning disabilities and complex needs. Your role involves assisting them in daily life activities and accompanying them on community outings—such as shopping, meals, appointments, and social trips—ensuring they live independent and fulfilling lives.
We provide a company vehicle for transporting the people we support. To use this vehicle, you must hold a full UK driving licence or have been driving in the UK for 2 years or more.
Initial Salary & Career Development
Starting rates: £12.71/hour With experience:
- Level 2: £13.10/hour
- Level 3: £13.60/hour

About The Candidate
Key Requirements & Qualifications
You should demonstrate:
- Genuine passion for care and personal development
- Empathy & motivation to support those progressing toward independence
- Strong teamworking skills in a collaborative environment
- Resilience & confidence in seeking assistance when needed
- Clear written & oral communication with individuals from diverse backgrounds
- Computer literacy for rostering, documentation, and digital tools
- An A-Level in Health & Social Care preferred or willingness to qualify
