About The Role
Here at Kisimul, we provide exceptional education and care for children, young people, and adults with autism, learning disabilities, and complex needs, including behaviours of concern. Through our registered schools, college, and care homes, we support children up to the age of 19 with education and care, and offer residential care and supported living for adults aged 18 to 65.
Our goal is to help every person we support live a meaningful and fulfilling life through compassion, respect, and empowerment.

We’re looking for Life Practitioners to join our team at Tigh Abaid, Newark.
As a Life Practitioner, you’ll play a vital role in supporting children with severe learning and complex needs to live independent, fulfilling lives. Your role will include;
- Support with day-to-day living and personal goals.
- Accompany individuals on community activities such as shopping, meals, and appointments.
- Build positive, respectful relationships that promote dignity and wellbeing.
- Work closely with colleagues to safeguard and empower the people we support.

Pay & Progression
We offer clear progression through our competency framework, helping you develop your skills and increase your pay as you grow:
- Level 1: £12.71
- Level 2: £13.10
- Level 3: £13.60

About You
Your Qualities:
- A genuine passion for care and supporting others to reach their potential
- Teamwork, resilience, and a proactive attitude
- Confidence to ask for support and share ideas
- Good communication and basic IT skills
- Experience in care is welcome but not essential — full training provided.
