Lifecycle & Retention Strategist – E-commerce Growth Agency (Remote, UK)
This role is managed by our partner company, who handles all applications and next steps.
About the Role
This Lifecycle & Retention Strategist position sits at the intersection of strategy, data, and customer experience, helping high-growth subscription e-commerce brands enhance customer lifetime value (LTV) and improve long-term retention.
- You will serve as a strategic partner to clients, shaping lifecycle marketing programs that drive revenue, reduce churn, and boost subscriber engagement.
- The environment is fast-paced, analytical, and built on experimentation, performance measurement, and continuous optimization.
- Work across multiple client accounts, collaborating with CRM, design, and copywriting specialists to bring retention strategies to life.
- This is a client-facing role requiring both strategic thinking and hands-on ownership of lifecycle marketing performance.
- Your work will shape how leading CPG subscription brands scale sustainably.
Accountabilities
- Develop and execute lifecycle and retention strategies to maximize LTV and reduce churn across subscription-based brands
- Act as the main strategic point of contact for retention marketing initiatives with clients
- Build and optimize lifecycle journeys, including:
- Email/SMS automations
- Customer segmentation
- Retention flows in Klaviyo
- Conduct cohort and customer behavior analysis to identify trends and retention opportunities
- Manage retention calendars and campaign planning across multiple client accounts
- Analyze performance metrics and deliver actionable insights to improve retention outcomes
- Collaborate with CRM specialists, designers, and copywriters to execute high-impact campaigns
- Lead end-to-end retention projects, ensuring timely delivery and strong performance results
- Continuously monitor industry trends in subscription commerce and lifecycle marketing to inform strategy
- Strengthen long-term client relationships and contribute to account growth and retention

Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in retention marketing, lifecycle marketing, CRM, or similar roles
- Strong expertise in Klaviyo, including:
- Flows and automations
- Segmentation
- Reporting
- Lifecycle strategy
- Proven ability to conduct cohort analysis and derive insights from customer behavior data
- Experience with e-commerce, DTC, or subscription-based brands
- A strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into strategic recommendations
- Excellent client-facing communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience managing multiple accounts or projects in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with subscription platforms (ReCharge, Skio, etc.) is a plus
- Deep understanding of subscription commerce and customer lifecycle marketing principles
- Comfortable using AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude) to improve productivity and workflow efficiency
