As a Lifeguard, you’ll play a key role in supporting all of our objectives. This includes ensuring our centres are welcoming, clean, and—most importantly—safe for all our customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensuring a safe, welcoming, and clean environment for all customers
- Monitoring swimmers and pool areas responsibly
- Assisting with emergencies and first aid when required
- Supporting the delivery of a positive customer experience
- Contributing to a team-oriented culture across our facilities
- Developing and demonstrating flexible, adaptable work habits
A full training programme will be provided, and for those looking to progress, we’ll work with you to develop a long-term career path with Freedom Leisure.
Hours
- Casual hours, as and when needed
Requirements
Essential Skills & Experience
- A strong swimmer
- Completion of a one-week training course (completion required)
- Team-oriented approach, with a willingness to collaborate both internally and externally
- Ability to follow instructions from managers flexibly
- Well-developed interpersonal skills, with an ability to relate to customers of all ages and abilities
Desirable
- NPLQ qualification or equivalent training preferred
- First Aid at Work certification
- Enhanced DBS check (will be required concurrent with selection)

Salary
- Up to £12.71 per hour
