Europe’s Leading Premium Health and Wellness Group is looking for a passionate and dedicated Lifeguard to join our team at David Lloyd Clubs.
About the Role
With over 180 indoor and outdoor pools across the UK, our Lifeguards are key to maintaining pool safety while delivering an exceptional experience for our members.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing poolside safety to ensure a secure environment for everyone.
- Conducting regular pool tests and maintaining documentation in line with company standards.
- Ensuring compliance with all Health & Safety requirements.
- Supporting a positive atmosphere while assisting members in their wellness journey.
You don’t just protect the pool—you help create an environment where people can feel their best and have an amazing experience.

Key Responsibilities
- Monitor pools for safety, intervening as needed to prevent accidents.
- Conduct water quality tests daily to ensure compliance with health standards.
- Record precision safety documentation at all times.
- Assist members and ensure they are enjoying their session safely.
- Help maintain a welcoming, inclusive culture across our pools.
- Upskill through internal training (opportunities available for growth).
Requirements
To be considered, you must:
- Hold a valid NPLQ (National Pool Lifeguard Qualification).
- Demonstrate a genuine passion for health, fitness, and swimming.
- Be a strong communicator with excellent active listening skills.
- Work well in a team environment, sharing your expertise.
- Be reliable, professional, and safety-conscious.
