Key Responsibilities
As a Lifeguard, your role includes:
- Ensuring high-quality, friendly, and safe customer service in our facilities.
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all visitors.
- Supporting the maintenance and preparation of pool and equipment.

Person Specification
We’re looking for:
- Competent swimmer – If you’re still developing your skills, our experienced swim coaches will help you get there.
- NPLQ (National Pool Lifeguard Qualification)
- Enhanced DBS check mandatory
- First Aid at Work qualification (desirable)
- Customer service enthusiasm – ability to relate to all ages and abilities
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Love for the leisure industry and commitment to quality service
Work Details
- Hours: 30.75 hours per week (rota basis, Monday–Sunday)
- Location: Various Freedom Leisure centres across England and Wales
- Salary: Up to £20,378 per annum
