Key Responsibilities

As a Lifeguard, your role includes:

  • Ensuring high-quality, friendly, and safe customer service in our facilities.
  • Maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all visitors.
  • Supporting the maintenance and preparation of pool and equipment.

Person Specification

We’re looking for:

  • Competent swimmer – If you’re still developing your skills, our experienced swim coaches will help you get there.
  • NPLQ (National Pool Lifeguard Qualification)
  • Enhanced DBS check mandatory
  • First Aid at Work qualification (desirable)
  • Customer service enthusiasm – ability to relate to all ages and abilities
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Love for the leisure industry and commitment to quality service

Work Details

  • Hours: 30.75 hours per week (rota basis, Monday–Sunday)
  • Location: Various Freedom Leisure centres across England and Wales
  • Salary: Up to £20,378 per annum
